Mahilpur, December 5- The drama team of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur, representing Punjab University in the Punjab State Inter-University Youth Fair-2024 organized by the Punjab Government for Youth Services at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, yesterday, has brought laurels to the institution by securing third position in the state.
On this occasion, President of Sikh Educational Council Sant Sadhu Singh Kaharpur, Patron Dr. Jang Bahadur Singh Rai, Manager Inderjit Singh Bharta, General Secretary Prof. Apinder Singh, Principal of the college Dr. Parvinder Singh, Vice Principal Aradhana Duggal, staff congratulated the students associated with the theater team on this achievement.
Speaking on the occasion, Coordinator of Theatrical Items Dr. JB Sekhon said that after securing first position in the Zonal Youth Festival at GTB College Dasuha, the skit team of the college also secured first position in the Punjab University Inter Zonal Youth and Heritage Fair held at DAV College Hoshiarpur.
He informed that in the state level Punjab State Inter-University Youth Fair-2024 of the Punjab Government, the college team has secured third position in tough competition with ten universities of Punjab.
On this occasion, the management committee of the college appreciated these students and the staff engaged in preparation. On this occasion, Professor Ashok Kumar, Professor Amandeep Kaur, Jagdeep Singh Director along with theatre students Iqbal Singh, Sahil Sharma, Amritpal Singh, Sheryl, Gagandeep Singh, Ritika, Harman, Munish Kumar, Iqbal Singh and Rahul were present.
