Nawanshahr: If the life story of an elderly employee is told to today's generation, it can become a source of inspiration for them. This view was expressed by RMPI National General Secretary Ka: Mangat Ram Pasla in his address on the occasion of the funeral of late Ka: Sohan Singh son of Sardar Dal Singh Gahunia at Gurdwara Shri Nabh Kanwal Raja Sahib in nearby village Sujon.

He said that some people of a section of the society who do not take guidance from the teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, create problems for the society. Giving an example of this, he mentioned rape of girls and domestic violence against women. It is a great need of today's time to follow the path shown by the great Gurus for the respect and protection of the women section. Param Singh Khalsa MC Nawanshahr described the life of late Sohan Singh Gahunia as a source of inspiration and said that due to his philanthropic thinking, today his family also thinks of social service.
JS Gidda Secretary BDC mentioned the inspiration he got from the impartial work life of Ka: Sohan Singh during his student life. Ka: Kuldeep Singh Dudka, while comparing the hot times of the past with the present, said that man is also paying the price of his lifestyle himself, so we all should take inspiration from the life of late Ka: Sohan Singh Gahuniya.
On this occasion, the main sevadar of Gurdwara Raja Sahib Sadhu Singh Sujon, Subedar Major Singh, Kashmir Singh, Mohan Singh, Kashmir Kaur, Paramjit Kaur, Kamaljit Singh, Tavleen Singh, Ka: Gurdayal Ram Mehndipur, Inderjit Singh Waria, Ka: Satnam Singh Gulati, Ka: Satnam Singh Sujon, Ka: Raj Kumar Sodhi, Mohan Singh and Mahinder Singh Chaudhary, Daljit Singh Gidda, Mohan Singh, Rajinder Kaur Gidda, Palwinder Kaur Badwal and a large number of devotees were present. The family had made extensive arrangements for Guru's langar for the devotees.
