Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar December 02, 2024: The team of Anti-Narcotics-cum-Special Operation Cell Range Rupnagar Camp Ant Mohali under the direction of Harcharan Singh Bhullar, Deputy Inspector General of Police Rupnagar Range has succeeded in arresting 01 heroin smuggler along with 150 grams of heroin.
On 01 December 2024, the police party under the leadership of SI Sukhwinder Singh, in-charge of the team of Range Anti-Narcotics-cum-Special Operation Cell Camp Ant Mohali, was present at the new bus stand near Magu Pump Chowk, Mohali, when the informant informed separately that Kuldeep Singh alias Keepa Contractor son of late Ajaib Singh, resident of village Palasore, Police Station City, Tarn Taran, Tehsil: Va: District Tarn Taran, who is in the business of selling heroin. Who is just about to come on foot from the new bus stand side towards Magu Pump Chowk side with heroin. If he is caught in a planned manner, heroin can be recovered from him, against whom a case No. 195 dated 01 December 2024 under Section 21/61/85 N.D.P.S.A.Q. Police Station Phase-1 Mohali was registered and after catching the accused, 150 grams of heroin was recovered from him and the said accused was arrested. A case has already been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act at City Tarn Taran, who has been produced in the court in Mohali today and has been remanded in police custody, who is under police remand. The accused will be questioned as to where he got this heroin from and to whom he was going to sell it next.
