Patiala, November 26: Even before starting a hunger strike at the Khanauri border of Haryana-Punjab, the police have detained Jagjit Singh Dallewal, a leader of the Sanjha Kisan Morcha (non-political). He has been taken to DMC Hospital in Ludhiana. The area around the hospital has been sealed to ensure that no one reaches him. It has been learned that he is not eating anything in the hospital. After Dallewal's detention, farmer leader and former soldier Sukhjit Singh Hardo Jhande have gone on a fast unto death at the Khanauri border.
Meanwhile, farmers also reached the Khanauri border and protested. Along with this, in the meeting of senior officials of Haryana and Punjab, it was agreed that a 4-foot area of the Shambhu border will be opened, so that farmers can move forward without tractors and trolleys. Although no formal announcement has been made, the work of removing the barricades has started. On the detention of Dallewal, Haryana wrestler Bajrang Punia said that this is the murder of the Constitution on Constitution Day. He said that he is reaching the Khanauri border front in support. According to farmer leader Sarwan Pandher, Dallewal was picked up from the Khanauri border at around 2 am on Monday night.
