Garhshankar: A protest was held in front of the Deputy Commissioner regarding the demands of the workers and farmers on the orders of the SKM Central Trade Unions. In this protest, a demand was made to provide legal guarantees for all crops. In addition, all sugarcane mills in Punjab should be made operational, and the daily wage of MNREGA workers should be increased to six hundred rupees per day, and 200 days of work should be given in a year, and the contract system should be stopped in the country.
All the workers should be given equal facilities to the workers, four labor codes should be repealed and labor laws should be restored, farmers have been exploited by tying the paddy crop of the farmers in the markets, legal action should be taken against those who tying the tying, every farmer and laborer should be given a pension of 10,000 rupees per month after the age of 60.
Regarding these demands, a demand letter was submitted to DC Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal ji for the President. In this, pension has been demanded in the interest of farmers and laborers. In this dharna, members of Kisan Committee Doaba, Jamhoori Kisan Sabha BKU Ograhan, CITU Punjab Kisan Sabha, participated in large numbers, in which the number of women was considerable. In this dharna, Harbans Singh Sangha, Charanjit Bhindran, Gurmesh Singh, Mahendra Kumar Badhoan, Rajendra Singh, Ganga Parshad, Garnek Singh Bhanjal and other leaders presented their views.
