Patiala, Nov 22: Guest players and coaches are enjoying Gidda, Luddi, Bhangra, Malwai Gidda and folk songs during the ongoing 68th National School Games Basketball Tournament here.
Cultural Programme Coordinator Principal Dr. Karamjit Kaur Government Girls Senior Secondary School Sanur and Principal Mandeep Kaur Antal Government Girls Senior Secondary Smart School Old Police Line Patiala informed that under the supervision of District Education Officer Sanjeev Sharma, children of government schools of district Patiala entertained players from other states with folk dances and folk songs of Punjab.
Girls of Government Girls Senior Secondary School Old Police Line, Government Senior Secondary Civil Lines and Government Senior Secondary School Model Town choreographed the folk song 'Mirza' together and Baljit Kaur sang the folk song 'Mirza' with high pitch.
Children of School of Eminence Fieldkhana under the leadership of Principal Dr. Rajnish Gupta and under the supervision of Music Teacher Pargat Singh presented Punjabi folk dance Malwai Gidda and won the hearts of children from other states. The girl students of Government Senior Secondary School Sanur gave a wonderful performance of Punjabi folk dance 'Luddi'. Due to which the feet of the players and women coaches also started dancing automatically.
