Patiala, November 16 - Patiala Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Dr. Preeti Yadav has informed that the State Election Commission Punjab has deployed EROs (Electoral Registration Officers) and AEROs for the correction of voter lists of Patiala Municipal Corporation, Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats. She informed that for the convenience of the common people of the district, a special campaign will be launched on November 20 and 21 for the correction of voter lists in Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayats.
Dr. Preeti Yadav informed that for Municipal Corporation Patiala and Panchayat Sanaur, SDM Patiala Manjit Kaur has been posted as ERO and Tehsildar Patiala Kuldeep Singh has been posted as AERO. For Municipal Council Rajpura and Nagar Panchayat Ghanaur, SDM Rajpura Avikesh Gupta has been posted as ERO and Tehsildar Rajpura KC. Dutta has been posted as AERO for Rajpura and Naib Tehsildar Ghanaur Harish Kumar has been posted as AERO for Ghanaur.
For Municipal Council Samana, ERO SDM Samana Tarsem Kumar and AERO Naib Tehsildar Raman Kumar will be posted as Naib Tehsildar Raman Kumar, similarly for Municipal Council Patran and Nagar Panchayat Ghagga, ERO SDM Patran Ashok Kumar and AERO Tehsildar Harsimran Singh will be posted as Nabha Municipal Council and Bhadson Municipal Panchayats. While for Nabha Municipal Council and Bhadson Municipal Panchayats, ERO SDM Nabha Dr. Ismat Vijay Singh and AERO Tehsildar Nabha Sukhwinder Singh Tiwana will be posted as Nabha Municipal Panchayat Devigarh, ERO SDM Doodhan Sadhan Kirpalveer Singh and B.DPO Bhunarheri Mohinderjit Singh will be posted as AERO.
Additional District Electoral Officer-cum-Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Anuprita Johal said that in view of the Aadhaar date of 1 November 2024, the printing of the draft voter lists for the general elections of Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats has been completed on 14 November as per the ongoing program of correction of voter lists.
Claims and objections can be given from 18 to 25 November, which must be resolved by 3 December. She said that after this, the final publication of the voter lists will be held on 7 December. She said that the voter lists will be published on the due date after the draft publication, resolution of the claims and objections received.
