
Forced cutting of paddy crop while selling should be stopped - Farmer organizations
Hoshiarpur - Today a large delegation of three farmer organizations Kisan Committee Doaba, Kirti Kisan Union and Jamhuri Kisan Sabha met the Additional Deputy Commissioner; and demanded that forced deductions are being made at the time of payment of paddy.

The administration should intervene and make full payment; DAP fertilizer should be arranged for wheat sowing; and giving extra material along with fertilizer should be stopped. The Additional Deputy Commissioner assured to solve all the problems. He said that the farmers whose paddy payment has been cut should complain about it to the officers, so that an investigation can be conducted.
Leaders and workers of Kisan Committee Doaba Punjab, Kirti Kisan Union and Jamhuri Kisan Sabha participated in this delegation. The farmers of Hoshiarpur were appealed that the farmers whose payment has been cut should tell their complaints to Shri Davinder Singh Kakon, Jagtar Singh Bhinder and Harbans Singh Sangha through the farmer leaders of their area so that they can talk to the higher officials. Their payment related issues can be resolved.
