An amount of 4 crore 50 lakh rupees has been released for the district under Ashirwad scheme

Patiala, August 14 - Punjab government for financial assistance of 51 thousand rupees under the Ashirwad scheme given to girls from poor and needy families on the occasion of marriage. An amount of 4 crore 50 lakh 33 thousand rupees has been released to a total of 883 beneficiaries of Patiala district.

An amount of 4 crore 50 lakh 33 thousand rupees has been released to a total of 883 beneficiaries of Patiala district. Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmed Pare said that 4 crore 50 lakh 33 thousand rupees have been released in Patiala district under Ashirwad scheme. In which 883 backward classes and economically weaker sections related beneficiaries of the district will be covered. He said that under the Ashirwad scheme, girls of Christian community, widowed girls of any caste, girls from backward classes and economically backward families at the time of marriage and scheduled caste widows/divorced women at the time of their remarriage Rs.51000/- Financial assistance is given as an omen.
District Social Justice and Empowerment Officer Mukul Bawa said that the amount received is being sent to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT mode. And the government is releasing the amount to the remaining beneficiaries soon.
