Hoshiarpur- Battalion NDRF Bathinda conducted a mock exercise at Vardhman Yarns and Threads Limited in collaboration with the district administration. On this occasion, teams from all supporting departments including NDRF, SDRF, Police, Fire Brigade, Ambulance, Deputy Director Factories were deployed. During this, a mock exercise was conducted in the factory regarding gas leakage.
Giving information, NDRF Assistant Commandant Dugar Lal Jakhar and Inspector Amar Pratap Singh said that before the mock exercise, orientation and coordination-cum-table top exercise was done with the departments. They said that the CRBN (Chemical, Radiological, Biological and Nuclear) mock exercise was specially conducted to promote awareness and coordination, especially from the perspective of industrial safety.
He said that the main objective of this exercise is to strengthen coordination between various government and industrial departments, enhance their preparedness to deal with emergency situations and make the public aware of potential hazards. He thanked the district administration and Vardhman Yarns and Threads Limited for the mock exercise.
