Patiala Locomotive Works organized a vendor meeting

Patiala, October 26 - A vendor meeting was organized by Patiala Locomotive Works, Patiala in view of Vigilance Awareness Week being observed from 28th October to 3rd November. To have meaningful and mutually beneficial interaction with its vendors and to address their common grievances and apprise them of new changes in tender conditions, third party inspection, warranty cancellation management and various quality issues related to locomotives. . 60 industrial partners of PLW from different parts of the country and all 4 Third Party Inspection (TPI) agencies of Indian Railways participated in the meeting.

Shri Pramod Kumar, Principal Chief Administrative Officer inaugurated the meeting. During his address, he emphasized on quality and timely supply of materials and advised the industry to be ready for supply of materials to meet the increased production target of PLW. Sanjay Rastogi, Senior Chief Content Manager emphasized the importance of physical vendor meetings to improve communication and trust between PLW as well as its business partners to achieve their objectives.
GS Narang, Chief Vigilance Officer emphasized the importance of creating a system where every member of both the railways and the vendor has to ensure that consistency is key in all operations. He also said that the strengthening of the system is favorable for all parties.
Officials from Material Management Department and other user departments of PLW gave detailed presentations on various issues related to latest changes in tender conditions, PLW, warranty cancellation management, material inspection and quality.
