Kapurthala (Paigam E Jagat) - Ustad Shri Pritam Das (Preetu Kapurthala Wale) completed his earthly journey and went to the feet of God. He has innumerable disciples in singing and Qawwali. He also worked with imitators for a long time. His last rites will be performed today on 14th November at 12 noon near Laxmi Nagar, Shalimar Bagh Kapurthala.
Ustad Preetu Kapurthala's popular song was 'Suni Malka Meri Kook Papihe Wali', which he sang with Padma Shri Hans Raj Hans; Principal Dr. Baldev Singh Dhillon, internationally renowned folk singer Dalwinder Dayalpuri; Jagjit Khosla, singer Harpreet Randhawa; International poet Kanwar Iqbal Singh Pradhan Srujan Kendra (Regd.) Kapurthala Gurpreet Randhawa; Shri Ravi Dara, Assistant Director, Youth Services Department, Jalandhar; while choreographer Vikramjit Vicky have expressed deep grief over his untimely demise.
