
Works on irrigation schemes worth Rs 250 crores are being done in the Beet area - Mukesh Agnihotri
Una, November 7 - Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Mukesh Agnihotri on Thursday attended the closing ceremony of the 35th Vishal Prize Dangal held at Jakkhewal (Beatan) of Haroli as the chief guest. This two-day Vishal Prize Dangal (Chhinj) was organized by Sant Baba Dhangu Wale Maharaj Ji Mandir Committee. On this occasion, Mr. Agnihotri sat with thousands of people and enjoyed the Dangal competition. He announced to give Rs. 25 lakh for the construction of the temple of Sant Baba Dhangu Wale Maharaj Ji.

Let us tell you, this Dangal, which is organized every year, is considered to be one of the biggest Dangals of North India. This time also, about 200 famous wrestlers from various akhadas across the country participated in it. The tradition of this Dangal was started by Sant Baba Dhangu Wale Maharaj Ji, which is now being continued by Sant Baba Anup Ji Maharaj Ji.
In his address on this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said that works worth Rs 250 crore are being done under various schemes with the aim of providing better irrigation facilities to the farmers in the Beet area. Out of these, the construction of Beet Kshetra Irrigation Scheme-2 worth Rs 72 crore is in progress. Along with this, work on another water scheme worth Rs 62 crore is also going on in the Beet area.
He further informed that work on four important projects worth Rs 28 crore under the Water Power Department is progressing at a fast pace in Haroli, which includes water schemes of Pubowal, Baliwal, Haroli and Naganoli.
*It is important to raise awareness about ancient games*
Mukesh Agnihotri said that to take rural sports to new heights, it is necessary to increase awareness about ancient sports among the youth. He said that there is a need to promote sports culture in villages so that the youth energy moves in a constructive and positive direction. It is also necessary that the players get proper facilities. He said that he is committed to providing all facilities to rural sports talents.
