
Ninth Ayurveda Day organized on the occasion of Lord Dhanvantari Jayanti
Una, October 29 - In the 9th Ayurveda Day celebration organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Dhanvantri, the physician of the gods, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that Ayurveda is not just a medical system, but an ancient science of keeping life balanced, healthy and meaningful. He called upon the people to adopt Ayurveda in their lifestyle and said that it brings balance in life and it can prove helpful in protecting us from many health challenges of modern life.
Una, October 29 - In the 9th Ayurveda Day celebration organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Dhanvantri, the physician of the gods, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that Ayurveda is not just a medical system, but an ancient science of keeping life balanced, healthy and meaningful. He called upon the people to adopt Ayurveda in their lifestyle and said that it brings balance in life and it can prove helpful in protecting us from many health challenges of modern life. In this function organized in the District Council Auditorium Una on Tuesday, he said that the inclusion of Ayurveda will promote inspiration and awareness of a healthy lifestyle in the society, beyond the personal benefit of the individual.
The Deputy Commissioner said that this year the theme of Ayurveda Day has been kept as Ayurveda innovation for global health, which aims to make Ayurveda more robust and effective through innovation and health promotion at the global level.
In his address, he said that the main objective of celebrating Lord Dhanvantri Jayanti as Ayurveda Day is to create a healthy and disease-free society, as well as to increase awareness and encourage Ayurveda among the general public. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also honored the yoga instructors, children, retired officers and employees who presented yogasana demonstration in the district level Independence Day celebration-2024 by giving them mementoes.
Ayurvedic Medical Officer, Dr. Kiran Sharma gave information about various programs run by the AYUSH Department and highlighted Ayurvedic measures for a healthy lifestyle, ways to prevent diseases, and other effective treatments of Ayurveda.
Earlier, the function started with the worship of Lord Dhanvantri and lighting of lamps, in which reverence was paid to healthy life and Ayurveda.
Sub-Divisional AYUSH Medical Officer Dr. Vijay Thakur, other officers and employees of AYUSH Department were also present on this occasion.
