SAS Nagar, April 14- Friends Sports and Social Welfare Society Mohali organized the 5th blood donation camp in collaboration with Jio Star Hospital Sector 82 Mohali. Society President Amarjit Singh said that on this occasion 55 blood donors contributed by donating blood.
He said that this time this blood donation camp was organized in the memory of late S S S Gill (former Vice Chancellor), late Councilor Sardar Amrik Singh Tehsildar and late Sardarni Manjit Kaur. The camp was presided over by Dr. Seema Rai, Head of Stem Cell Department, Punjab University, Chandigarh, who was the chief guest. On this occasion, Ms. Bhagyashree Setia, Joint Secretary of Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association, Reva Gandhi, Member of BOH were also present. D. Jio Star, Dr. Surinder Gandhi, Mr. Harpreet Singh Advocate were specially present.
Joy Deep Das Gupta, Director of Jio Star Hospital said that this camp was organized by Blood Bank Society, Transfusion Department, P. Ya. I. It was installed under the supervision of Dr. Puneet Kaur Randhawa from the team. Each blood donor was given a certificate and a gift.
S. Jagdish Singh Sarao and S. Satnam Singh Mann congratulated the councilor. They recalled the moments spent with Tehsildar Amrik Singh and said that he dedicated his entire life to public service. On this occasion, among others, Satinderpal Singh, Chaudhary Ajay Kumar, Engr. Jaspreet Singh, Sardar Arvinderpal Singh, Sardar Jasjit Singh and Sardar Harvinder Singh Advocate and Dr. Puneet Kaur Randhawa also addressed the gathering.
