Sannore (Patiala), October 26 - Today at a palace here Sannore Constituency MLA Harmeet Singh Pathan Majra and Mandeep Singh Upal BDPO Sannore honored all the newly appointed Panchayats of Panchayat Samiti Sannore and presented certificates to Panchas Sarpanches. 
Congratulating the Panchas Sarpanches, MLA Harmeet Singh Pathan Majra said that the new Panchas Sarpanches will be trained in keeping the records of the Panchayat, taking maximum advantage of the government schemes and planning the development of the villages so that the villages can be developed in a systematic manner. 
He has asked the departmental officials to inform the Panchayats about their powers and responsibilities, as well as information about the Panchayati Raj Act, Village Common Land Act, including land conservation. Apart from this information about Gram Sabha composition, quorum, resolutions, meetings, estimates, purchase of materials, utilization of funds, maintenance of financial accounts, maintenance of records and registers, role of Panchayat Secretary, Right to Information Act-2005 should be given and Panchayats should also be made aware that how Panchayats can contribute in the improvement of education. He appealed to the newly appointed panchayats to rise above prejudice and come forward to contribute to the development of their respective villages.
MLA Pathanamajra also said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state is on the path of progress in terms of development, therefore the panchayats of the constituency Sanur will be given grants for development. Honored Panchayats
