On this occasion Mr. Chaman Singh (Project Director) said that the young generation of Punjab is badly trapped in the gang of drugs, while the history of Punjab is not like this. The land of Punjab has always given birth to brave warriors but some people are putting the youth on the path of drugs for their own benefit. He said that the youth should be aware of drugs so that diseases caused by drugs can be avoided Addiction alienates a person from society and family.
The mental level of a person addicted to drugs falls to such an extent that he stays away from every relationship and starts committing accidents like suicide. By consuming drugs, the youth themselves become mentally ill and the family members also suffer mentally and financially. He said that the greatest glory of a person is not in never losing, but in getting up after failing every time.
On this occasion Mrs. Kamaljit Kaur (Councillor) addressed and informed the people about the facilities and activities of the center and said that we should take care of the children around us so that we can avoid the evils spread in the society. Keep the body healthy with a balanced diet which will also keep the mind healthy and if any youth falls under the influence of this drug then he should be encouraged to go to the center for treatment. He gave detailed information about the treatment of patients in the center.
On this occasion, Ashok Kumar (J.E. Retd.) addressed the gathering and said that we should pay special attention to our children so that they do not fall into bad company and should go from house to house to make children aware about drugs. is
Dr. Hardeep Kaur while raising awareness about drugs said that consumption of drugs causes physical and mental diseases, the youth can be kept away from drugs only by making them aware about drugs. Joginder Pal (ret. teacher) presented his views and said that we should implement the suggestion given by the Red Cross team and thanked the team and said that they will continue to organize drug awareness camps in the future. On this occasion, Gurbaksh Kaur, Balveer Kaur, Geeta, Resham Kaur, Charan Narinder Kaur, Ashok Kumar and other villagers were also present.
