
EIC-PEC Organized a Round Table Discussion and Interaction
Chandigarh: 25th October, 2024: The Entrepreneurship and Incubation Cell (EIC) of Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh in collaboration with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organised a Round Table Discussion and Interaction for possible research and academic collaborations.

This discussion was graced by Prof. Anurag Sharma (IIT Delhi), Prof. Mukesh Kumar (IIT Indore), Prof. Deepa Venkitesh (IIT Madras), and Prof. Shanti Bhattacharya (IIT Madras). This whole session was organised by Dr. Simranjit Singh (Coordinator, EIC) along with his whole EIC Team, with the support and guidance from Prof. Arun Kumar Singh (Head. ECE Deptt.) and Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia, Director, PEC.
In this discussion, all the dignitaries discussed the future possibilities for collaborations. They agreed to offer internships to students, research scholars in their respective campuses. They also came forward with the idea of internships for technological and research projects for students of PEC. Prof. Deepa from IIT Madras along with Dr. Simranjit Singh is planning a project on optical communications and photonics. The session was filled with interactions between the dignitaries and students. They also discussed developing and manufacturing indigenous communication components in India rather than importing from other countries. All of them also offered their facilities for research and future technical support.
Various Faculty members from different departments of the institute inclusive of Prof. Deepak Bagai, Prof. Neena Gupta, Prof. Sandeep and Prof. Sanjeev Kumar were present at this occasion.
