Chandigarh: 25th October, 2024: Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, is hosting the fifteenth edition of Trivium; its prestigious annual debating tournament from 26th to 28th October, 2024. The event is being organized under the guidance and support of Dr. D.R. Prajapati, Dean of Students Affairs, and Dr. Puneet Chawla, Associate Dean of Students Affairs (Clubs). The Convener of the event is Prof. Amandeep Kaur, with student conveners being Ritvik Arora and Amisha Kanwar.
The event is supported by Union Bank of India, as the title sponsor, this partnership underscores the growing significance of this event in fostering academic excellence, leadership, and constructive dialogue.
This year's Trivium will be hosting teams from some of India’s most renowned institutions, such as NIT Jalandhar, IIT Delhi, DTU, Army Institute of Law Mohali, NLSIU, and Chitkara University. 
The tournament promises three days of intense debates where participants will battle it out on complex motions, ranging from education, politics, and economics to social justice and ethics. The tournament will follow the 3v3 Asian Parliamentary Debate (APD) format. The event will be judged by an esteemed panel of adjudicators.
