Patiala, October 21 - Punjab Jail Department ADGP Arunpal Singh has said that no price can be paid for the martyrdom of the martyrs. He had come to pay tribute to the martyrs of the prison department in a state-level event organized by the prison department at the Punjab Jail Training School today on the occasion of Police Memorial Day.
 He said that the true tribute to the martyrs is that every prison officer and employee performs his duty honestly and fearlessly. On this occasion, ADGP paid tribute to the IG (Prisons), Assistant Superintendent Prisons and 12 officers and employees of the rank of Head Warder/Warder during the time of terrorism in Punjab and martyred in the performance of their duties by the Punjab Prisons Department. Inspector General (Prisons) Punjab, RK Arora and DIG (Prisons) Surinder Singh were also present with him in this tribute ceremony.
ADGP Arunpal Singh after paying homage at the Martyr's Memorial shared his views with the families of the martyrs and listened to their sorrows and problems and assured them of solving their problems by making every possible effort. Principal Punjab Jail Training School Kulwant Singh Sidhu told about the history of this day and thanked the family of martyrs. Vice Principal Mukesh Kumar Sharma presided over this state level event.
