The food safety team took samples of 7 quintals of cheese being supplied

Hoshiarpur - As per the directions of Hon'ble Commissioner Food and Drug Administration Punjab Dr. Abhinav Trikha and Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Pawan Kumar Shagotra, District Health Officer Dr. Jitinder Bhatia today constituted a food safety team under the leadership of Chief Focus to provide clean and quality food to the people keeping in view the festive season. Which included FSO Abhinav Khosla and FSO Vivek Kumar, set up a naka at Hoshiarpur Rara Tanda bridge at 3 am.

The team caught a truck carrying about 7 quintals of paneer. The team took two samples of paneer and sent them to the food lab for examination, after the report of which further action will be taken under the Food Safety Act. Other members included Ram Lobaya, Naresh Kumar and Arvinder Singh. On this occasion, District Health Officer Dr. Jatinder Bhatia said that continuous checking is being done keeping in view the festive season. According to this, we were getting news that a large quantity of fake paneer is coming from various sources in Hoshiarpur district, which is being sold on a large scale in the markets of Hoshiarpur district and Una area of ??Himachal Pradesh.
Taking action on which today, about 7 quintals of paneer being supplied on a large scale in different areas was seized. There were two different types of paneer in this paneer shipment. One paneer was in those different drums and one in the main container. On the basis of suspicion, samples of both types of paneer have been taken and sent to the food lab. He said that adulterators make and sell paneer by mixing various substandard substances. Due to this, he warned those people and said that adulterators have formed a very big syndicate who do this for some benefit.
He appealed to the people to make their due contribution in this campaign run by the Health Department against these adulterators and give information against them so that we can provide proper and quality food to the people.
