
Ambuja Manovikas Kendra awarded by Punjab Government for community welfare initiative
Mohali, 3rd October 2024 – Ambuja Cements, a diversified Adani Portfolio cement and building materials company, prides itself on being at the forefront of community welfare and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities. This was the case at a recent ceremony where Ambuja Manovikas Kendra (AMK), a school for differently abled children in Ropar, which is a part of the Company’s CSR initiative, was felicitated by the Punjab Government.

This was the case at a recent ceremony where Ambuja Manovikas Kendra (AMK), a school for differently abled children in Ropar, which is a part of the Company’s CSR initiative, was felicitated by the Punjab Government.
On behalf of the Punjab Government, Deputy Speaker of Punjab, Shri Jai Kishan Singh felicitated the community welfare and special education initiative by presenting a Certificate of Recognition. The award was given in recognition of the Company’s outstanding dedication towards the welfare of meritorious individuals through effective community welfare activities and CSR efforts in the region.
During the event, AMK student Priya Devi was also given a special honour by the Punjab Government for bringing laurels to the nation by winning a Silver Medal at the Summer Special Olympics 2023 in Berlin, Germany as a member of the National Basketball Team.
