SAS Nagar, October 1, 2024:- To ensure zero tolerance to stubble burning Mohali Administration today reached out to the farmers to assure them of the required crop residue management machinery as an alternate to setting the crop residue on fire.

SAS Nagar, October 1, 2024:- To ensure zero tolerance to stubble burning Mohali Administration today reached out to the farmers to assure them of the required crop residue management machinery as an alternate to setting the crop residue on fire. 
 As per the instructions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohali, ADC (D) Mohali Sonam Chaudhary, SDM (Mohali) Damandeep Kaur, Chief Agricultural Officer Mohali Dr Gurmail Singh today jointly visited the Tangori, Bathlana, Dharamgarh and Santemajra villages of Mohali and Banur. During the visit, the field level officers (Nodal Officer and Cluster Officer deputed for curb the farm fires) are instructed to visit the farms on daily basis and aware the farmers about zero tolerance toward stubble burning. 
 Apart from this ADC (D) Mohali also met with combine harvesters and Stubble management machinery owners for maximum and timely operations. Farmers are also encouraged to contact the local authorities and nodel officers / cluster officers if any issues occur in their areas regarding availability of machinery. Chief agricultural officer Mohali thoroughly surveyed the fields and observed that the fields are ready to harvest in next couple of days.
