Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Mann hoisted the tricolor at the ITI ground

Nawanshahr - Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Capital Investment Promotion, Labor and Hospitality Minister Punjab Anmol Gagan Mann unfurled the national flag at the district level Independence Day function at ITI Ground. Earlier, he paid obeisance to Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh and his father Sardar Kishan Singh at the memorials erected at their native village Khatkar Kalan.

On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Mann inaugurated the Sikh Empire Exhibition at the Museum of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Ji at Khatkar Kalan. He said that this exhibition has been prepared from the perspective of international artists and writers. He appealed to the people that they must see this exhibition and get information about their history and martyrs.
 After hoisting the national flag at the ITI Ground, he inspected the parade and on this occasion a march past was taken out by the Punjab Police, NCC and various school children's detachments. Along with this, tables showing the development works being carried out by the Punjab government were also taken out. Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa and SSP Dr Mehtab Singh were also present on this occasion.
 On this occasion, recalling the unparalleled contribution and sacrifices made by Punjabis in the freedom of the country, Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Mann said that we are enjoying the warmth of freedom today only because of the sacrifices of the martyrs. He said that we should work together in the development of the country and always remember the sacrifices made by the martyrs. On this occasion, while giving detailed information about the achievements made by the government, he gave information about the development works done in every sector. He said that today under the leadership of Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab is developing electricity, agriculture, education, law and order, civic services, infrastructure, urban development, all-round development of villages, freeing illegal possession from panchayat lands, health, investment-friendly. It is gaining reputation in the field of environment creation and industry.
 During the event, he honored the families of the martyrs and also presented tricycles and sewing machines to the needy from the District Red Cross Society. Apart from this, officers/employees who have achieved achievements in different areas and performed good services in departments, including the parade commander, were also honored. PT shows and patriotic cultural programs were also presented by the students of different schools on this occasion.
On this occasion, the Chief Guest Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Mann was honored by the district administration by giving mementos. Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Mann announced a holiday on 16 August 2024 in all government and private schools in the district.
