Shimla, Sep 18- A total of 50 roads were closed and power supply disrupted at 63 places in Himachal Pradesh due to rain, the Emergency Operations Centre informed on Wednesday.

The Meteorological Department said that Jubbarhatti in Shimla received 46 mm of rain since Tuesday evening, followed by Mandi (38.6 mm), Kasauli (35 mm), Sirhan (26 mm), Kandaghat (26 mm) and Dharamsala (11.4 mm).
According to the SEOC, till Wednesday morning, 21 roads were closed in Shimla, 13 in Mandi, 10 in Kangra, five in Kullu and one in Sirmaur district. In this regard, the local Meteorological Centre had issued a 'yellow' alert in remote areas of six districts of the state on Wednesday. According to officials, 172 people have died in rain-related incidents in the state since the onset of monsoon on June 27 till Monday evening, while 30 people are still missing. He said that the state has suffered a loss of Rs 1327 crore.
