Delivered a special lecture on 'Mental Health and Wellness' at Punjabi University

Patiala, September 10 - As part of the 15-day student induction programme being run by the Department of Education and Community Services, Punjabi University, Dr Ruby Gupta from the Student Counselling Centre of the University delivered a special lecture on 'Mental Health and Well-being'.

Patiala, September 10 - As part of the 15-day student induction programme being run by the Department of Education and Community Services, Punjabi University, Dr Ruby Gupta from the Student Counselling Centre of the University delivered a special lecture on 'Mental Health and Well-being'.
The Head of the Department, Dr Jagpreet Kaur informed that the programme is for the new batch of students enrolled in the four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) B.A.B.Ed (Secondary Stage) started in the department. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Gupta discussed issues such as stress, anxiety, relationships and career counselling. Dr Gupta highlighted the importance of mental health in the academic and personal lives of students during her thought-provoking and engaging session.
She highlighted the strategies required for emotional regulation, stress management and well-being. The discussion was well attended by the students. Faculty members, students and researchers attended the programme.
