Hoshiarpur - In a press note issued by District Yoga Association Hoshiarpur, Senior Vice President of National Yoga Federation, Chairman of Punjab Yoga Association and President of District Yoga Association Mr. Tikshan Sood has said that this decision was taken in the meeting of Yoga Association here today.
It is informed by the District Yoga Association that the district level yoga competition organized by the District Yoga Association every year will be held this time on September 4 from 8 am in Gaurakshi Gaushala located near Sood Bhavan. He said that in this regard, about 350 contestants have submitted their entry fee and about 400 contestants are going to participate. After the district competitions, state and national level competitions will be conducted. Mr. Sood said that every year hundreds of competitors participate in district level yoga competitions and the state winners get an opportunity to participate in national and international competitions.
He said that the competitions are conducted completely impartially. Mr. Sood said that established in 2013 at Hoshiarpur, the District Yoga Association is doing great social work to connect the new generation with yoga. He thanked the officers, members and residents of the district yoga association for the smooth arrangements of the district yoga association and urged more and more people to join the activities of the yoga association. Ram Dev Yadav, Anil Sood, Vinod Parmar, Anita Jaswal, Vijay Thakur, Principal Naresh Sharma, Joginder Singh etc. were also present on this occasion.
