Preparations for dharna in front of BDPO office in full swing - Leader

Nawanshahr 7 August- Under the state level invitation of Punjab Gramin Mazdoor Union, a meeting of workers has been organized in village Gohaldron today regarding the block level dharna in front of BDPO Nawanshahr office from 19 to 26 August. On this occasion, Punjab state leader Kamaljit Sanawa addressed the workers and said that the government has been turning a blind eye to the basic issues of the employees for a long time.

Nawanshahr 7 August- Under the state level invitation of Punjab Gramin Mazdoor Union, a meeting of workers has been organized in village Gohaldron today regarding the block level dharna in front of BDPO Nawanshahr office from 19 to 26 August. On this occasion, Punjab state leader Kamaljit Sanawa addressed the workers and said that the government has been turning a blind eye to the basic issues of the employees for a long time.
He said that the government has not yet given the registry of the houses falling within its red line to the workers. Apart from this, work should be given throughout the year in NREGA, the daily wages of the workers should be increased and all the loans except micro finance companies should be waived unconditionally and the Land Ceiling Act 1972 should be implemented. On this occasion, the leader of the area Ladi Kot Ranjha also addressed and said that the government should give 5-5 marla plots to every worker and should also issue grants to repair the kutcha houses of the workers.
On this occasion, union leader Kiranjit Dharamkot said that meetings have been held in Saroa and Kot Ranjha villages to prepare for the protest in front of the BDPO office, in which Kulwinder Kaur, Karishma, Harjinder Kaur, Makhan Ram and Suchha Singh were also present on this occasion.
