Mahilpur, June 6 - Avtar Singh Dhilo, a first batch student of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur, established since 1946, former DSP (Canada) reached the college today with his family. Speaking on this occasion, Avtar Singh Dhilo said that he is the first batch of graduation pass students of the college. And for the last several years, he had this idea in his mind that he would refresh the memories associated with his student life by reaching Khalsa College Mahilpur. He said that he used to come from Hakumatpur village daily to study in college from where he got the job of DSP in Punjab Police and went to Canada after retirement.
He said that by reaching the college today, he is feeling himself again in the same student life. On this occasion, he spoke passionately about the college's founder principal Harbhajan Singh, the supporting gentlemen of the area who helped the college financially, and the staff and students of that time. He also assured financial help to the college in the coming time. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh talked to the guests about the present condition of the college and gave information about the various courses running in the college.
He also commented on the academic, sports and cultural achievements of the students. On this occasion, among the family members of Avtar Singh Dhillon, Mrs. Anurag Dhillon, Iqbal Singh Canada, Hardev Singh and Professor Simranjit Kaur, Ranjit Singh Rana and Gurpreet Singh from the office staff of the college were also present.
