Patiala, July 8 - Home guard Amarjit Singh posted at Sadar police station Samana died after being shot while cleaning his weapon. He had gone to collect the weapon. As soon as the employees heard the sound of firing, they saw that Amarjit Singh was lying in an injured state. When fellow employees took him to the hospital, he had already died. DSP Samana Neha Agarwal and SHO of Sadar police station Samana reached the hospital. They said that it was just an accident.

The deceased home guard was a resident of village Namada of Samana and was on duty in Sadar Samana for a long time. Amarjit Singh was about to retire after two months. He was very excited about this. After conducting the post-mortem at the Civil Hospital of Samana, the body was handed over to the family.
