Punjab Government's 'CM's Yogashala' campaign is giving new life to drug addicts, Yoga classes are becoming helpful in saving lives in Mohali

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, April 22: As part of the Punjab Government's war on drugs, a new initiative was launched in Mohali district on April 7 under 'CM's Yogashala'. The aim of this scheme is to make drug addicts mentally and physically strong through yoga so that they can live a healthy and positive life.

The aim of this scheme is to make drug addicts mentally and physically strong through yoga so that they can live a healthy and positive life.
Giving information in this regard, District Coordinator Pratima Dawar said that these classes are being conducted daily from 7:00 am to 8:00 am and from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the District De-Addiction Center located in Sector-66. These classes are being conducted by Yoga instructor Pulkit.
Pratima Dawar said that a large number of drug addicts are participating in these classes and they are getting mental and physical benefits from regular practice of yoga. In the feedback, the participants said that by doing yoga they are experiencing mental peace, confidence and positive energy.
They assured that to keep themselves healthy, even after leaving the de-addiction center, they will join the yoga classes organized around them under ‘CM’s Yogashala’ and make yoga a permanent part of their lives.
The participants thanked the Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann for this commendable initiative and said that this campaign is definitely a strong step towards making Punjab drug free.
This initiative is not only showing a new path for people suffering from drug addiction but is also a sincere effort towards laying the foundation of a healthy society in the entire Punjab.
