Shaukat Ahmed Pare was addressing a function organized by the Rotary Club Patiala Mid Town at Rotary Bhawan in SST Nagar after distributing sewing machines to 18 women who took training in sewing and embroidery. The program was organized under the leadership of Ashok Rauni, President of Rotary Club Patiala Mid Town and former Deputy Director of Dairy Development Department. Senior Rotarian NK Jain was the chairman of the project. After giving sewing machines and certificates to the women, Shaukat Ahmed Pare said that it is our duty to help the needy people.
He said that a special NGO cell will be established at the DC office to give all honor to the social service organizations of District Patiala and to make better use of these organizations in the interest of the society so that those working in different fields By preparing the data of these institutions, maximum benefit of these institutions can be taken in the interest of the society. On this occasion, Rotary Club Patiala Mid Town President Ashok Roni thanked Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmed Pare for arriving as the chief guest in the event and gave information about the activities of the club. Ashok Roni said that Rotary Club Patiala Mid Town always works together with the district administration to do service work. He assured the Deputy Commissioner that the Rotary Club will continue to do service work together with the administration. Club Secretary NS Dhindsa informed the Deputy Commissioner about the various service projects carried out by the club since 1 July 2023.
Rotarian NK Jain, chairman of this project, said that the free sewing and embroidery center has been running at Rotary Bhawan for the past 28 years. From which thousands of women have established their own self-employment today by taking training. He said that service projects are being done by Rotary Club Patiala Mid Town as per the guidelines of Rotary International. On this occasion Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmed Pare was honored by the club.
