Hoshiarpur - On the last day of filing nominations for Lok Sabha Elections-2024, 10 candidates from Lok Sabha constituency Hoshiarpur filed their nomination papers.
Giving this information, Returning Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal said that today Rajesh of Democratic Bharatiya Samaj Party, independent candidate Satpal, Jaswant Singh of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) and their covering candidate Surinder Kaur, independent candidate Satwant Singh, Independent candidate Sonu Singh, Davinder Kumar of Social Welfare Morcha, Raj Pal of Bahujan Mukti Party, covering candidate Dharminder Kumar of Bahujan Samaj Party, Gurvinder Singh of National Youth Party filed nomination papers. He said that a total of 27 nominations including covering candidates have been filed for the Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha constituency from May 7 to 14. He said that the nomination papers will be scrutinized on May 15 and the candidates will be able to withdraw their nomination papers till May 17. He said that voting will be held on June 1 from 7 am to 6 pm and counting of votes will take place on June 4. He said that the election process will be completed on June 6, 2024.
