Deputy Commissioner distributed checks and prizes to the winners of Red Cross Lucky Draw.

Una, March 15 - Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal distributed prizes to the winners of the lucky draw conducted by the District Red Cross Society on January 26 at the Mini Secretariat. Nikhil Ajoria of Kangra district, who was the first winner in the lucky draw, was given a check of Rs 70 thousand, second prize was given to Krishna Kumar and Rajiv Kumar of Rs 11 thousand each.

Nikhil Ajoria of Kangra district, who was the first winner in the lucky draw, was given a check of Rs 70 thousand, second prize was given to Krishna Kumar and Rajiv Kumar of Rs 11 thousand each. Winners of the third lucky draw, Sudesh Kumari and Sushil Kumar were given mixer grinders and checks of Rs 2500 each were given to Mangat Ram, Rajindra Kumar and Vineet Kumar. Checks of Rs 2,000 have been distributed to fourth place winner Sadhana and checks of Rs 2,000 have been distributed to fifth place winner Rajeev Kumar. Seventh place lucky draw winners Shakunt Raj and Archit Sharma were given a wall clock.
On this occasion, District Red Cross Society President and Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that it is always ready to help the poor and helpless people. The Red Cross provides financial assistance to provide relief to patients suffering from serious diseases and people affected by disasters. He said that Red Cross has provided Hindi and English medium books to the children in Una District Library for the preparation of competitive examinations. Apart from this, the Red Cross has provided the facilities of computer, printer, Wi-Fi and water purifier for drinking water in the district library to provide a better and calm environment for studies to the children.
He said that Red Cross organizes blood camps from time to time so that the needy patients can be helped on time. Apart from this, various types of assistive devices are also provided to the disabled persons free of cost by the Red Cross Society as per their disability, so that they can live their lives with dignity.
On this occasion, District Red Cross Society Secretary Sanjay Sankhyan, Raj Kumari and Manu Thakur were present.
