SAS Nagar, February 28 - National Science Day was celebrated by the science department of Martyr Major Harminderpal Singh Government College SAS Nagar under the patronage of the principal of the college Mrs. Harjit Gujral.

A spokesperson of the college said that to commemorate this day, Prof. Amrish Thakur gave a lecture to the students emphasizing the need to become job providers instead of job seekers through indigenous technologies. Mr. Deepak Jangra from IISER gave a lecture on science, scientists and society. Dr. Mandeep Kaur Department of Botany congratulated the special guests on Science Day.
