Payment of Rs 1014.19 crore has been directly transferred to the bank accounts of farmers in the Kharif procurement season in Haryana so far.

Chandigarh, October 6 - During the Kharif procurement season 2025-26 in Haryana, a payment of Rs 1014.19 crore has been directly transferred to the bank accounts of farmers so far. In this way, the government has ensured payment of minimum support price to the farmers.

Paddy is being purchased from farmers registered on the Meri Fasal Mera Beura portal. So far, paddy has been purchased from 81410 farmers registered on the Meri Fasal Mera Beura portal in the state.
A spokesperson of the Haryana Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department while giving information here today said that a total of 13.68 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has arrived in the markets of the entire state so far.
The spokesperson said that 5.65 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been lifted from the mandis of various districts so far. So far, 10.00 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been procured from the mandis. Paddy procurement in the mandis/procurement centres of Haryana is being done by the Food and Civil Supplies Department, HAFED and Haryana State Warehousing Corporation.
It is worth mentioning that paddy procurement in the state is done at the minimum support price fixed by the Government of India for paddy and the payment for the crop is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the farmers. The government is repeatedly appealing to the farmers to dry their crop properly in the market and take it as per the norms fixed by the Government of India (such as moisture content 17 percent).
He said that the state procurement institutions have made adequate arrangements for the procurement of paddy and the third party is also being brought in for the lifting of paddy. It is worth mentioning that the payment of the minimum support price fixed by the Government of India for the paddy purchased by the state procurement institutions is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the farmers. No reduction has been made in the minimum support price fixed by the Government of India for paddy of Rs 2359 per quintal.
Apart from this, the cleaning work of the paddy brought by the farmers in the state mandis and procurement centers is being done by the aartiyas at their own level. Along with this, the payment of the fees and rates of the mandi labor work (such as filling, weighing, sewing, loading etc.) at the mandis and procurement centers is also paid by the government.
