
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini met with Japanese ministers on the first day of his visit to Japan.
Chandigarh, October 6 - A high-level delegation led by Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini on a visit to Japan today held bilateral discussions with senior ministers of Tokyo and Japan. During the meetings, detailed discussions were held on promoting and strengthening economic, industrial and cultural cooperation between Haryana and Japan. During this, Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh was also present.

During the meetings, detailed discussions were held on promoting and strengthening economic, industrial and cultural cooperation between Haryana and Japan. During this, Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh was also present.
The Chief Minister met with Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Japan Shri Miyaji Takuma. In this meeting, discussions were held on the possibilities of increasing trade activities between Haryana and Japan and giving new strength to the economies of both the states from an economic perspective. The Chief Minister also formally invited Mr. Takuma to participate as a partner country in the Happening Haryana Global Investor Summit to be held in April, 2023. After this, the Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini also met the Minister of State for Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan, Mr. Koga Yuichiro. In the meeting, both the sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation and partnership between the industrial units of Haryana and Japan, especially in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
During this meeting, special emphasis was also laid on exploring potential investment opportunities in areas like future mobility, green energy, advanced electronics/semiconductors, infrastructure and digital transformation.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is continuously making progress and today India has become the fourth largest economy in the world. It is also the effort of the Haryana Government to attract foreign investment in the state and to open new doors of industry, innovation and employment in Haryana through cooperation with a technologically advanced country like Japan. This country of Japan is a big step towards realizing the vision of the Prime Minister of Developed India-Developed Haryana.
On this occasion, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Arun Kumar Gupta, Commissioner and Secretary, Department of Industries and Commerce Dr. Amit Agarwal, Commissioner and Secretary, Department of External Cooperation Mrs. Amneet P. Kumar, Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation and Director General, Department of Industries and Commerce Mr. Yash Garg and other senior officials were present.
