Cutting trees and uprooting them is very easy, but nurturing and maintaining them is very important. If the fence itself starts eating the field, then how will the field survive? Trees are the source of breathable air all over the world and their immense contribution can never be forgotten.
The Punjab government has not fulfilled a single target and no meaningful plan is being made for the decreasing number of trees. Dhiman said that it is not understood why the educated officials of the department and the Forest Ministry are not taking the environment seriously and if they themselves commit lapses and corruption in the department, then how will the health of the people and their healthy means of livelihood remain stable.
Dhiman said that environmentalists and intellectual editors of the media have repeatedly drawn the attention of the government to the deterioration of the environment and the emerging threats, but it is not known whether they are doing good things in the food of the officials or in the Forest Ministry.
The situation within the department is such that the work culture is completely changing into corruption. Dhiman demanded from the government that strict action should be taken against the officials responsible for such negligence. He also emailed the senior officials of the department to take action on this issue.
