Moscow:- Russia will deliver the entire S-400 Triumf air defense system by 2026 under a $5.43 billion (about Rs 40,000 crore) deal signed with India in 2018. Russian news agency TASS said that India has received four systems so far and the fifth will be delivered by next year.
The deal was signed between the two countries on October 5, 2018. Despite the US warning of CAATSA sanctions, India still purchased it. The S-400 missile system played a significant role during Operation Sindhur in May.
Minister Sanjay Seth said during his visit to Moscow that India is interested in buying more missile systems, including the modern S-500 missile system. It is worth mentioning that India launched Operation Sindhur on May 7, which was a retaliation to the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22.
