He said that the government's cabinet ministers failed to clarify the exact situation of the state before the Prime Minister. He said that although the state governor has clarified the situation regarding the financial amount of Rs 1600 crore released by the Prime Minister, still the state government should prepare a serious report regarding the compensation for the damage caused by the floods and send it to the Center.
He said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann should call an all-party meeting and prepare delegates to meet the Prime Minister of the country, so that he can be well informed about the situation related to the floods. He said that if the government side does not do so, then the Punjab BJP president should form a delegation of new and old MPs of the state and approach the Prime Minister.
Describing the agricultural insurance scheme as essential for Punjab, he said that either the conditions of the insurance scheme created by the central government should be relaxed and Punjab should be made a participant or the Punjab government should start a solid comprehensive agricultural insurance scheme for the farmers of the state.
