
Pensioners Welfare Federation Punjab (Pehlwan) Reg: (Power Com and Transco) Plenary Meeting held.
Patiala 10—09—2025:- Today, the Plenary Meeting of Pensioners Welfare Federation, Punjab Circle Patiala was held under the chairmanship of Shri Shivdev Singh Circle President at the organization's head office P-3, 66 KV Grid Colony, Patiala. Releasing the information of the meeting to the press, BS Sekhon General Secretary Punjab said that in the meeting, expressing sympathy with the people of Punjab for the devastation caused in Punjab due to floods, the amount of Rs 1600 crore released by the Prime Minister of the country for Punjab was rejected from the outset and it was demanded that at least Rs 20000/- crore be released to compensate for the loss of Punjab.

It was also demanded from the Punjab government that at least Rs 50 lakh should be given to those killed in the floods, Rs 5 lakh for the construction of houses, Rs 50,000-50,000 for the buffaloes and cows that have died, Rs 50,000 for the damaged crops, and Rs 25,000 for the repair of houses.
In addition to the above, it was demanded from the management of the Power Corporation that the agreements reached in the meetings of PSEB Employees Joint Forum, Bijli Ekta Manch, Pensioners Welfare Punjab and other organizations regarding the demands of pensioners and employees should be implemented soon. The Punjab government was demanded to release the 13 percent outstanding dearness allowance installments.
