Nabha (Patiala), October 12 - Nabha SDM Dr Ismat Vijay Singh visited Nabha Mandi today and reviewed the purchase of paddy. Expressing his satisfaction on the purchase of paddy, he instructed the procurement agencies that after the purchase of paddy in the market, lifting should also be done simultaneously and no delay will be tolerated.
 He said that he has met the farmers and farmers today, the farmers have expressed satisfaction over the arrangements for the purchase of paddy. The SDM also appealed to the farmers to bring only dry crops with specified moisture in the market so that their crops are sold as soon as they reach the market. He appealed to the farmers not to burn stubble and said that the Punjab government has made alternative arrangements for the management of stubble besides making them aware to prevent stubble burning.
The SDM appealed to the farmers to ensure that Super SMM is installed on the combine while harvesting paddy. Ashwini Mehta, Secretary of Market Committee Nabha was also present on this occasion.
