People in the hilly areas of Morni and Kalka of Panchkula will soon get smooth transportation facilities.

Chandigarh, August 18 - Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini has directed to pave about 61 km of unpaved roads of 19 villages to provide smooth transportation facilities to the people in the hilly areas of Morni and Kalka of Panchkula district. The width of these roads will be 12 feet.

Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini was today chairing a review meeting here with the officials of the Public Works Department and Forest Department regarding various works. He directed to start the construction of roads in these villages soon after getting NOC from the Forest Department.
He said that the construction of roads in these villages of the hilly areas of Morni and Kalka will provide better transportation facilities to the residents here and will open new avenues for development in these areas. The residents living here will soon get rid of the problems caused by dirt roads.
Mr. Naib Singh Saini directed the officials to pay special attention to quality in the construction and repair of new roads in the state. He clarified that no compromise with quality will be tolerated. Apart from this, he also directed that the development works should be completed within the stipulated time. If anyone delays in completing the work, action should be taken against him.
He also directed that the construction of these roads from Thapli Badhisher to Koti 1.68 km, Pinjore Mallah to Mangniwala 1.20 km and Gobindpur to Thathar 5.35 km road in Panchkula district will also be started as soon as possible after obtaining NOC from the Forest Department.
Apart from this, he also directed to start the work of strengthening and widening of the road from Panipat to Safidon 41 km, from Safidon to Jind 21.65 km and from Ambala district from Saha Chowk to Panchkula-Yamunanagar Forlane and from Saha Chowk to Kelpi and Tohana Ratia at the earliest.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Arun Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of Public Works Department Mr. Anurag Agarwal along with officials of Public Works Department and Forest Department were present.
