Paigam-E-Jagat/ Maur Mandi, August 24 - Under the program outlined by the Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board Outsource Workers Union, the Punjab-level indefinite strike under the leadership of Punjab President Gurdev Singh Nihang has entered its 21st day today.
On this occasion, State Senior Vice President Baldev Singh Mander said that for about seven to eight months, the Punjab government has been raising slogans regarding the demands of the water supply and sewerage workers, but the government is not providing any concrete solution to our demands.
The organization's meeting was to be held on August 23 at Punjab Bhawan Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh, with Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema Sub-committee, but that too has been postponed through a phone call. The government has not issued any letter regarding the meeting.
He further said that some flattering organizations of the government are colluding with the government to spread false news and harm the working people of Punjab, such as the self-appointed president of the Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Workers Association, who is in collusion with the government.
Our organization requests Punjab that these organizations have no right to take the decisions of our families. According to the decision of the organization, the sewerage motors will be stopped from August 25 and the struggle will be intensified, for which the entire responsibility will be with the Punjab government and administration.
