Hoshiarpur/Mahilpur, August 24- An impressive function was organized by the Management Committee and Shri Sukhmani Sahib Nishkam Sewa Society Mahilpur at Vishwakarma Bhawan Mahilpur.
The chief guest MLA Sardar Jai Krishan Singh Raudi, Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, specially attended this function. He presented a beautiful vehicle at a cost of Rs 15 lakh for the Palki Sahib used for religious functions by Shri Sukhmani Sahib Nishkam Sewa Society Mahilpur and Vishwakarma Bhawan Committee Mahilpur.
They presented a cheque of Rs 7 lakh to the committee and also appreciated the other welfare works being done by the society. He said that every year the society gets needy girls married and also provides all the household items, which is a very big effort.
On this occasion, President Jaswant Singh Sihra and all the members expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Jai Krishan Singh Raudi for his social welfare work. All the organizers honored the chief guest Raudi with a siropa and a badge of honor.
