Garhshankar- The Science and Education Department of Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College Garhshankar celebrated Ozone Day by organizing an ice breaking session for the students in collaboration with Triple I Society of Science Students.
During the function organized by Triple I Society with the aim of strengthening the purpose of the new students society and mutual acquaintance, students of different classes of the year 2024-25 were honored with Culture, Rising, Best in Academic and Shining Star Awards.
Student Ravi Sira won the title of Best Student of Triple I Society. Students Kirandeep Kaur, Diksha, Nikita Chaudhary, Ankita Rana, Swati and Raman were honored in Shining Star. College Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira motivated the students and gave detailed information about the importance of science.
On this occasion, while celebrating Ozone Day, the students were made aware about the protection of the ozone layer and conservation of the environment. In the speech competition organized on this occasion, the students expressed their views for the conservation of the environment. On this occasion, Dr. Manbir Kaur, Dr. Kuldeep Kaur, Dr. Mukesh Sharma, Dr. Gurbaksh Kaur Sangha, Dr. Preet Inder Singh and staff were present.
