
Protest by residents of Wave Estate facing the brunt of rainwater.
SAS Nagar, September 4 - Residents of Wave Estate Sector 85 protested against the Wave Estate management for the past several years for not having proper drainage system for rainwater and not getting other basic facilities. The residents gathered at the club house and marched to Dilbird Builders office and raised slogans against the management. The protest was organized by Mahinder Singh, a resident of Wave Estate and former police officer of Progressive Front Punjab.

The protest was organized by Mahinder Singh, a resident of Wave Estate and former police officer of Progressive Front Punjab.
On this occasion, Mr. Mahinder Singh said that the residents of Wave Estate, especially of Block A, had been demanding the management to solve these problems for five-six years, but the management had not made any effort to solve these problems. He said that many streets of Block A get filled with several feet of water during the rainy season. Due to which their cars and other vehicles get damaged due to water filling.
He said that the sewer gutters are not cleaned, the huge amount of garbage accumulated in the streets is not cleaned for several days. Due to which a foul smell continues to emanate and there is also a fear of spreading diseases in the concerned area. He said that the head office of Wave Management in Delhi will also be informed about these problems soon and also a complaint will be made to the Municipal Corporation and GMADA officials about the management.
On this occasion, people said that they have deposited lakhs of rupees to avail the facility of the club house at the time of purchase of their plots, but the management still does not allow them to enter there. The innocent people have been robbed by pretending to have a club house. They also demanded a high-level investigation into this. They warned that if their problems are not resolved soon, they will close all the gates of Wave Estate and protest on a large scale.
Among others present in the protest were RWA leaders Bhupinder Singh Dhillon, Satwinder Singh Mulli, Baljit Singh Vice President, Progressive Front Punjab Chairman Advocate Darshan Singh Dhaliwal, prominent leaders of the front Paramjit Singh Malakpur, retired police officer Daljit Singh Kailon, Pawan Sachdeva, Rajesh Sharma, Mahesh Sharma, YP Rattan, Professor Amrik Singh, Surinder Rana, Prem Singla, Saroop Singh and Asim Khungar.
