Patiala, Jan 10- GST Department has launched a special drive to conduct a comprehensive survey of service tax dealers with the aim of expanding the tax base. Giving this information, Assistant Commissioner State Tax Patiala Kanu Garg said that this campaign, which started on January 10 in compliance with the instructions issued by the GST Department, will continue till February 10, 2025.
Kanu Garg stressed that all service providers with annual turnover of more than Rs 20 lakh are required to register under GST as per government rules. In a meeting with various trade associations, lawyers and professional stakeholders here today, ACST Kanu Garg also informed about the efforts of the department to create awareness about GST registration.
