Deputy Commissioner visits flood-hit areas of Mahilpur and assures timely relief.

Hoshiarpur- Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain today visited villages Hakumatpur, Baddon and Dandiya in Mahilpur area and reviewed the flood arrangements made there. She met the affected villagers and listened to their problems and assured all possible help from the administration. The Deputy Commissioner said that the loss of the flood-hit people is being assessed by the Revenue Department.

She clarified that the affected people will be given timely compensation for their losses. She directed the officials that there should be no delay or negligence in the survey work and all the affected families should be provided relief and assistance at the earliest.
She also said that the district administration is fully alert and teams are on alert to deal with any situation in the flood-hit villages. He said that special attention is being paid to transparent and speedy implementation of relief and rehabilitation works, so that the affected villagers can soon lead a normal life.
Ashika Jain assured the people that the administration is standing with them at every step and no one will be left alone in trouble. Assistant Commissioner Oishi Mandal and SDM Garhshankar Sanjeev Kumar were also present on the occasion.
