He said that public safety is the top priority of the government and for this, necessary guidelines have been issued to the district administration for relief, rescue and restoration works.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the situation is being closely monitored and all departments have been put on alert mode to ensure quick relief. He said that the government and administration are standing with the public in every situation.
It is worth noting that the heavy rains continuing for the last several hours have badly affected the life of the people in the district. Rivers and streams are in spate and reports of water entering houses have been received at many places. Government and private properties have been damaged due to continuous rain and development projects have also been affected.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal said that the entire staff of the district administration is active in the field. Teams of all departments including Public Works Department, Municipal Council, Water Power, Electricity and Health are engaged in relief, rescue and restoration work on a war footing. The work of restoration of roads, removal of waterlogging and debris and providing relief to the affected people is going on continuously.
